Kapaa’s multi-use bike path on Kauai East Side is perfect for kids. On wheels or by foot, run, jog, bike, skip, hike, or scoot your way by magnificient views of the Pacific.

Ke Ala Hele Makalae. The Path that goes by the coast.

Ke Ala Hele Makalae is 7.3 miles in length.  The trail can be found between Lydgate State Park and Ahiahi Point.  The trail surface is made with asphalt and concrete.  

Bike rentals can be available in Wailua and Kapaa.  Many stores provide bike rentals for very reasonable prices for visitors and locals.  Kamaaina rates are also given to residents who would like to rent a bike for the day.

Ke Ala Hele Makalae provides stunning views of Kauai’s eastern coastline.  Lookout areas and parking provide many opportunities to access the path.
